Raj Parbhu migrated from Fiji in 1988 and ever since had been running a number of successful businesses such as service stations and a pizza delivery franchise in Auckland.

In year 2000,he moved to Kerikeri with his young family for a lifestyle change away from Auckland. In Kerikeri he owned a number of businesses namely Waipapa Dairy, Waipapa
Pizzeria Cafe and Vegestop. After selling all his three businesses, he started CurryKing in July of 2007 at the old Kina Kitchen in the Cobblestone Mall.

CurryKing is the only Authentic Indian Restaurant up North past Whangarei. Our head chef from Garwal, India with 30 years experience in Indian, Chinese and Malayan Cuisine, will give you a wonderful experience that has been hailed by locals and tourist customers alike as one of the best tasting Indian food in New Zealand.
